London based female gospel minister, composer and anointed song writer, Fally Modupe drops her latest brand new single titled “Come Unto Me”, a song extracted from the Bible Matthew 11:28-29, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” The song encourages and promises everyone who are trusting in GOD over long periods of time, or those who have attempted to carry their own burdens and are exhausted in strength and have lost faith in GOD for breakthroughs. Jesus carries our heavy burdens.
His “yoke is easy, and his burden is light” (Matthew 11:29). Some carry the yoke of religion, seeking to appease God by personal perfections. However, this will never work in a fallen world, in fallen flesh. In this way, we stand condemned. Others bear the heavy yoke of seeking justification through achievements, or way of seeking recognitions of man, Some simply are worn down by adversities in a fallen world in a fallen body. Jesus Christ is the answer to all of these.
Fally Modupe was inspired to compose this song using Afrobeat as it tends have a bigger audience and exported far and wide to a developing audience. She also feels, the songs importance highlights, versatility and promotes diversity, acting as an outreach for people, to experience Jesus Christ through the unique genre and partake of this tranquiled divine rest and salvation.
